Under this, Section 163 has been implemented in Gautam Buddha Nagar for two days from today (31 December). More than four people cannot gather at one place anywhere.

Additional DCP Law and Order Hridesh Katheria said that people will celebrate on New Year's Eve which will continue till the next day. Along with this, various organizations have proposed to hold dharna, demonstration and various programs, due to which there is a possibility of social elements disrupting the peace. In view of this, Section 163 has been implemented for two days on 31 December and 1 January 2025.

Farmers' movement is the main reason
Along with the celebration of New Year, the farmers' movement is the main reason behind this step of Noida Police. From Monday, farmers also held a mahapanchayat at Zero Point in Greater Noida. At the same time, a crowd of youth will gather in Noida on New Year as well. In view of this, the police administration has come on alert mode and Section 163 has been implemented in Noida, so that along with the farmers' movement, hooligans can also be curbed on New Year.
