Nifty breaks record after 14 months, stock market creates history

The stock market has made history and reached its all-time high. Previously, the Sensex and Nifty touched all-time highs in September, after which they experienced pressure.

The stock market has made history today. The market had been trading below its record high since September last year, but today the stock market has reached a record high. Nifty rose nearly 90 points today to reach 26,295.55, its record high.

Nifty rose nearly 90 points today

In September last year, the Nifty 50 index's record high was 26,277.35 points, while the Sensex's record high was 85,978.25 points. However, today the Nifty has made history by reaching a record high of 26,295.55. Although the Sensex hasn't yet touched a record high, it's close. The Sensex is trading 300 points higher at 85,912.94.

Of the top 30 BSE stocks, 11 are trading lower, while 19 are rising. Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv are the top performers. Losers include Zomato and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Sectorally, all sectors except PSU Bank, Consumer, and Oil & Gas are seeing strong gains.

Top Gainers

Ganesh Housing shares are up more than 10%. Patel Engineering shares are also trading higher by more than 10%. Tata Tele (Maha) shares are up 5%, and Gillette India is up 5%. Tejas Networks is up more than 4%. Shares of Swine Corporation are up 2%. Similarly, Tata Power, Bajaj Finance, and Shriram Finance are seeing a 1.5% rise.

Upper Circuit in 85 Shares

Out of 3,321 shares on the BSE, 1,853 are trading higher, while 1,262 are trading lower. 206 shares remained unchanged during trading. 60 shares touched 52-week highs, while 53 hit 52-week lows. 85 shares are in upper circuit and 60 in lower circuit.

It is noteworthy that the stock market witnessed a tremendous rally on Wednesday, with the Nifty gaining 300 points in a single day after a long time, and the Sensex 1000 points. Investors also made significant gains. The BSE market capitalization increased by ₹5.50 lakh crore in a single day.
