Nitish Kumar Becomes Bihar CM For The 10th Time: A new NDA government has been formed in Bihar, with Nitish Kumar sworn in as Chief Minister for a record 10th time. Twenty-six ministers, including 14 from the BJP and eight from the JDU, were also sworn in at a ceremony held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The new ministers include one Muslim, three women, and three new MLAs.
Governor Mohammad Arif Khan administered the oath of office and secrecy.
Along with Nitish Kumar, 26 ministers of his new cabinet were also sworn in. These include 14 from the BJP and eight from the JDU quota. The 26 new ministers include one Muslim and three women. Three first-time MLAs have also become ministers. Senior BJP leaders and Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha also took oath as ministers at the ceremony.
PM Modi and Amit Shah attended
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and several Chief Ministers and Union Ministers from NDA-ruled states attended the swearing-in ceremony. Several prominent leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Madhya Pradesh's Mohan Yadav, Rajasthan's Bhajanlal Sharma, and Gujarat's Bhupendra Patel, were present on the stage.
Slogan "Nitish Kumar again in Bihar" echoed at Gandhi Maidan
Gandhi Maidan was beautifully decorated. Thousands of JDU-BJP workers and members of the public attended the ceremony. Slogans of "Once again in Bihar - Nitish Kumar" echoed from the stage.
26 Ministers Sworn In
In addition to Nitish Kumar, 26 ministers of the NDA government were also sworn in as ministers at Gandhi Maidan. BJP Legislature Party leader Samrat Chaudhary and Deputy Leader Vijay Kumar Sinha were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. In addition to Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, BJP's Mangal Pandey, Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Sanjay Singh, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Paswan, Shreyasi Singh, and Dr. Pramod Kumar Chandravanshi also took oath as ministers in the Bihar government.
Eight JDU Ministers Sworn In
Eight ministers from Nitish Kumar's party, the JDU, also took oath at the swearing-in ceremony. Those sworn in as ministers from the JDU include Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shravan Kumar, Vijendra Yadav, Ashok Chaudhary, Lesy Singh, Mohammed Jama Khan, Madan Sahni, and Dr. Pramod Kumar.

These MLAs Also Sworn In
Furthermore, Sanjay Kumar (Paswan) and Sanjay Singh from Chirag Paswan's party were sworn in as ministers. Meanwhile, Santosh Kumar Suman and Deepak Prakash from Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha's parties were also sworn in as ministers in the new government.

The new NDA government has been formed in Bihar. Nitish Kumar has been sworn in as Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th time. Nitish was first sworn in as Chief Minister in November 2005. He subsequently served in 2010, 2015 (twice), 2017, 2020, 2022 (twice), and 2024. He has now begun his 10th term as Chief Minister of Bihar, making him one of the longest-serving Chief Ministers of Bihar.
NDA's Remarkable Return
The BJP-led NDA alliance returned to power with a landslide majority in the recently concluded assembly elections. The NDA won 202 seats, while the opposition Grand Alliance won 35 seats.
