Nitish Kumar Set to Take Oath as Rajya Sabha MP Today

Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar is set to take his oath today as a member of the Rajya Sabha.
Both of Bihar's Deputy Chief Ministers—Vijay Kumar Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary—arrived in the national capital yesterday and are expected to attend his oath-taking ceremony.
Following his election to the Rajya Sabha, Kumar had resigned from the Bihar Legislative Council (MLC) on March 30.
BJP leader Nitin Nabin has stated that there are no differences within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regarding the appointment of a new Chief Minister for Bihar, even as Nitish Kumar prepares to take his oath as a Rajya Sabha MP.
Nitin Nabin affirmed that the process is proceeding in an orderly manner
He said, "There are no differences whatsoever; everything is proceeding exactly as per the scheduled plan. Nitish Kumar is taking his oath of office in the Rajya Sabha on the 10th." He further stated, “The BJP has always respected the principles of coalition politics, and that is precisely why parties continue to place their trust in us even today. All decisions are being taken under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.”
