No bigger occasion than Mahakumbh in Hinduism, said Swami Avimukteshwaranand

Sankaracharya in Mahakumbh: Jyotirmath's Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has said about the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj that we should understand this Mahakumbh tradition started by our ancestors and use this time. There is no bigger time than this in Hinduism. Here even a second is equal to thousands of years of penance.

Speaking to Hind First editor-in-chief Vivek Bhatt, in Hind First's program 'Mahakumbh se Sanatan Samvad', Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that most people are not able to take advantage of the opportunity when they have it and regret it later.

He said that this is a big opportunity. There is no bigger occasion than Maha Kumbh in Hinduism. One month of sacrifice and penance here yields the merits of one kalpa. Even one second here is equal to thousands of years of penance. He said that do not give a chance to regret later and take advantage of this Maha Kumbh.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand told importance of the yagna organized in Maha Kumbh

About the yagnas held in Maha Kumbh, Shankaracharya said that this place was named Prayag because big yagnas were held here. A special type of yagna was organized here. That is why this place is called Prayag. He said that the name Prayag is made up of two words 'Pra' and 'Yag'. Pra means excellent and Yag means yagna. Very big yagnas have been held here, that is why this place is named Prayag. Now we have come to Kumbh and the biggest work done here is yagya. That is why yagya is being conducted here.

Purpose of the huge yagna to be held in Jyotish Peeth

In a conversation with Hind First, Shankaracharya said that the purpose of the huge yagna to be held in Jyotish Peeth is to stop cow slaughter. Cow slaughter is not stopping in our country. Shankaracharya said that now a plan will have to be made for cow protection because cow slaughter is increasing. That is why a yagna is being organized here for cow protection. He demanded that cow mother be declared the mother of the nation.

Swami Avimukteshwarananda (Sankaracharya in Mahakumbh) said that for the purpose of cow protection, a huge yagna mandap of 324 kunds has been built and yagna is being performed through 1100 pandits. He said that cow mother should be declared the mother of the nation and cow slaughter should be completely stopped.

When asked whether the proposal to consider cow mother as supreme cannot be passed in the Dharma Sansad going on here, Swami Avimukteshwarananda said that every parliament is passing a proposal to consider cow mother as the mother of the nation. Every Hindu wants cow protection.

Why government is not taking any strict step

Attacking the government, Shankaracharya said that the government needs votes from both those who worship cows and those who eat them. On one hand, the government distributes photos of cows and on the other hand, it tells others that it has given everyone a free hand. He further said that the government will have to clarify whether it wants cow protection or cow slaughter.

Who is the real Shankaracharya, how to understand

Shankaracharya said that in the present times, fake ones are found everywhere, by imitating the real ones, the fake ones become real. Therefore, one should be cautious of fake sadhus and saints and identify the real Shankaracharya and get his blessings. Becoming a fake Shankaracharya will not reduce the importance of the real one. A fake Shankaracharya can never replace the real one.

On actress Mamta Kulkarni becoming Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhada, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda said that an actress can follow the path of spirituality, but my question is that if a person does not take sanyaas then how can he directly become Mahamandaleshwar? How can someone enter the spiritual world and directly become Mahamandaleshwar?

How can someone directly become Mahamandaleshwar in a single day without becoming a sanyasi? First Mamta Kulkarni should take sanyaas by taking initiation. After that the entire process should be followed. If making Mamta Kulkarni Mahamandaleshwar is not a joke, then what else is it?
