Now Iran removed visa restrictions for tourists from 33 more countries, including India
Iran stated on Friday that it will likely waive visa restrictions for tourists from 33 more countries, including India.
Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Ezzatollah Zarghami announced the decision, according to Iran's IRNA news agency. The decision is aimed at increasing tourism arrivals and enticing more people from around the world.
Iran's action follows the implementation of a similar visa waiver by Kenya, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Kenya will impose this new rule from January 1st, 2024
Kenya will no longer require visas for overseas travelers beginning January 1. The decision is expected to help the country's vital tourist sector by providing visitors with hassle-free travel to experience wildlife safaris and beach vacations.
According to President William Ruto, it is no longer essential for anyone from any part of the world to face the burden of asking for a visa in order to visit Kenya.
Indian and Chinese tourists can now enter Malaysia without a visa and stay for up to 30 days. The new rule began on December 1, 2023. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced the development while stating that the exemption was subject to strict security vetting.
Malaysia is easy with visa requirements but strict with Security
"All tourists and visitors to Malaysia will be subjected to preliminary screenings." Security is another story. They will not be permitted to enter if they have a criminal record or pose a threat to national security, according to the prime minister.
Vietnam also offers visa free entry to Indians
Vietnam also declared earlier this year that it is considering visa-free entrance for Indians and Chinese visitors in order to boost tourism. Citizens of select European nations currently enjoy visa-free entry, while others can get e-visas with a 90-day validity period and various entry choices.
Thailand's Visa free entry program will run till May 10,2024
From November 1, Thailand also began offering 30-day visa-free entrance to visitors from India and Taiwan. The program will be in effect until May 10, 2024.
