Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Jodhpur on October 5, Thursday, to inaugurate various development projects and lay the foundation of several others. He lauded Rajasthan as a state where Indian Culture and traditions are rooted and well visible. In his speech in the sun city of Jodhpur, he said that only when, from Mewat to Marwar, the whole Rajasthan is developed and connected, Rajasthan will be ale to lead the country in the future. .

The Bikaner-Barmer-Jamnagar expressway corridor and Delhi-Mumbai expressway is the great example of contemporary infrastructure development. He said the Indian government in dedicated to bring development in the Rajasthan in every field. He said that the government has allocated Rs 9500 in the budget for railways in Rajasthan.

AIIMS Trauma centre and critical care hospital Block, Jodhpur- To enhance health infrastructure in the state, the PM laid the foundation stone of the hospital which will have the capacity of 350 beds will be built at the cost of RS 350 Crore. This will be equipped with various facilities such as triage, diagnostics, day care, wards, private rooms, modular operating theatres, ICUs and dialysis areas.

Seven Critical Care Blocks under PM – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) across Rajasthan to be built which will enhance district level health infrastructure in Rajasthan.

New Terminal building at Jodhpur Airport- With the total cost of Rs 480 crore, this will be built in a large area of 24,000sqm. This will be developed as a state of art terminal and will have the capacity to provide services to 2500 passengers during peak hours. This terminal is expected to see 35 lakh passenger annually and will further help in boosting travel and tourism in the state.

IIT Jodhpur - Built at the cost of Rs 1135 crore, the infrastructure will be witness high quality education and research.

Upgradation of existing infrastructure at central university of Rajasthan by adding Central instrumental Laboratory, staff quarters, Yoga and Science building, and to be built Central Library , Hostel with the capacity of 600  at the university.

Several road infrastructure project will also be included. These include four laning of roads , construction of bypass/re-alignment. These construction projects will cost Rs 1475 crore. These projects will increase connectivity and ease traffic load on several routes and also generate employment.

Two new train services- Runicha Express  and Marwar Jn. - Khambli Ghat and two projects undertaking doubling of rail line of ‘Degana-Rai Ka Bagh' rail line and Degana-Kuchaman City' rail line.
