On Friday morning, 15 schools in Bengaluru received bomb threats
Authorities are in a panic as a result of receiving bomb threat emails at up to fifteen schools in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, on Friday morning. They are conducting searches inside the schools to find evidence.
According to news agency PTI, the city police believe the emails are fraudulent, but they are still looking into other possibilities.
Last year, the same threatening phone call took place
Speaking to the media about the situation, Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara stated, "At this time, we have received information about 15 schools where threatening e-mails have been received; last year, we also received such threats."
Since they are inspecting the schools and taking every safety precaution, they are unable to take any chances. “If someone calls us threateningly, we will deal with them seriously". Every angle is being looked into," he said.
Even after receiving a threatening email, Bengaluru school principal D K Shivakumar of Karnataka paid a visit to the institution. The another school across from his house also received a threat via mail while he was watching TV. He came to make sure. Thus far, it appears to be a call of threat. However, he said that, they need to proceed with extreme caution.
Bomb squad department is looking for suspicious items
The bomb squad department and other authorities are searching every nook and corner of these schools to find and seize any potentially suspicious items. As a precaution, police have also evacuated staff and students from the schools, according to a different report.
In the wake of #bombthreat, several other schools have implemented safety measures and dismissed students early.

Similar calls and messages were made to several schools in the tech hub last year as well; in January of this year, the city's National Public School received a bomb threat. More research is being done, and more information is anticipated.
