Pahalgam Terror Attack: Airlines on Srinagar route, offer waivers as tourists rush to exit Kashmir
Pahalgam Terror Attack: On Tuesday, terrorists carried out a cowardly attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In this attack, they shot dead more than 25 tourists. Not only this, before firing, the terrorists asked the tourists about their religion and then attacked them. After the incident, the PM Narendra Modi has been returned to Delhi from his visit to Saudi Arabia.
PM Modi will hold a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security shortly. On the other hand, after such a big incident, many airlines have announced not to charge cancellation charges on flights to and from Srinagar.
Air India Express waives
Air India Express said in a statement that in view of the Pahalgam terror attack, Air India Express will waive the cancellation charge for flights to and from Srinagar till April 30, 2025. It wrote on the social media platform X, 'We are waiving the charge for changing or cancelling tickets for our flights to and from Srinagar till April 30, 2025, keeping in mind the current situation.'

Additional flights from Delhi, Mumbai to Srinagar
Earlier, Air India and IndiGo have changed their flight schedules and announced the removal of cancellation charges on flights to and from Srinagar. Apart from this, both airlines will operate two additional flights to Delhi and Mumbai.
IndiGo wrote on X, 'To help people traveling to and from Srinagar, we are offering a waiver of cancellation charges and rescheduling and have added two additional flights from Delhi-Mumbai.'

Air India currently operates five flights per day from Mumbai and Delhi, while IndiGo operates about 20 flights every day.
