Pamban Bridge: PM Mod will inaugurate first vertical lift sea bridge in Rameswaram

PM Modi will visit and worship at Ramanathaswamy temple
On the occasion of Ram Navami, PM Modi will also launch a new train service and a ship service from Rameswaram-Tambaram (Chennai) on Sunday (April 6). He will also see the operation of the bridge. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram. Where he will worship after visiting the temple.
Apart from this, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of various rail and road projects worth more than Rs 8,300 crore in Tamil Nadu and dedicate them to the nation.
Will also inaugurate many highways
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate many highways related projects in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. During this, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the work of making the 28 km long Walajapet-Ranipet section of NH-40 a four-lane road.
Along with this, he will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for making the 29 km long Viluppuram-Puducherry section of NH-332 a four-lane road, the 57 km long Poondiyankuppam-Sattanathapuram section of NH-32 and the 48 km long Cholapuram-Thanjavur section of NH-36.
Highways will connect pilgrimage and tourist places
The highways that PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone in Tamil Nadu on Sunday will connect many pilgrimage and tourist places. Also, the distances between many cities will be reduced. These highways will speed up access to medical colleges, hospitals, ports. Rs 535 crore has been spent
In this regard, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the Pamban Bridge in Rameswaram under Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu is the country's first vertical lift railway sea bridge, which will prove to be an important milestone in the country's railway infrastructure.
Let us tell you that about Rs 535 crore has been spent in the construction of this bridge. This bridge will replace the old structure damaged by rust.
