"Peace to be attained only after Hamas is destroyed in the war" says Israeli PM
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has once again assured that the war is not going to stop until Israel has achieved it's goal. The world has been mounting pressure on the country to stop the war as casualties of the war keep increasing every day as Israel is on its goal to vanish Hamas in Gaza.
Netanyahu visited northern Gaza and met with lawmakers from Likud party to home he made clear that the country is not going to stop fighting unless they win the war by destroying Hamas. The PM said that "We are not stopping. The war will continue until the end, until we finish it, no less." He also said that Israel would have to mount pressure on Hamas so that the remaining hostages could be released.
In an op-ed article in WSJ, he said that peace cannot be attained until Hamas is destroyed, Gaza is demilitarized, and Palestinian society is deradicated.
The United States has been asking Israel to reduce the intensity of strikes and operations as the war is costing a lot of civilian casualties. The increasing civilian casualties are causing the supporting countries to reconsider their decision to support Israel in the war as the cost is increasing day by day.
The United States's forces are also coming under attack in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-backed groups because it supports Israel.
More than 20,000 people have lost their lives in Gaza. Around 489 Israeli soldiers have lost their lives in the onoing war.
