PM Modi chairs NDA CMs meet – National security, caste census and more on agenda
Operation Sindoor, caste census, good governance, completion of one year of the third term of the Modi government will be discussed in the meeting. 20 CMs and 18 Deputy CMs are attending the meeting.
Apart from him, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President JP Nadda are also present.
BJP's good governance department
Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, in-charge of BJP's good governance department, said - A resolution will be passed in the meeting to congratulate the army and PM Modi for the success of Operation Sindoor.

The outline of programs like completion of one year of Modi 3.0, completion of 10 years of International Yoga Day and completion of 50 years of emergency in the country will be considered.
India's Operation Sindoor against terrorism
On 22 April, there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. 26 tourists were killed in this. India carried out air strikes on 9 locations in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) under Operation Sindoor.

After this, till 10 May, Pakistan carried out drone attacks on India. There was also heavy shelling on the border. A ceasefire was announced between the two countries on 10 May.
59 MPs of the country have been sent to 33 countries to tell the world the purpose of Operation Sindoor and the real face of Pakistan. 59 MPs are divided into 7 all-party teams (delegations). There are also 8 former diplomats with 7 teams.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri gave a briefing to the MPs about this initiative on 20 May.
On 30 April, the Central Government announced to conduct caste census in the country. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said that it will be conducted along with the main census. All the opposition parties including Congress have been demanding caste census. The census can be started in September.
It may take 1 year to complete. In such a situation, its final figures will be available in late 2026 or early 2027. The last census in the country was conducted in 2011. It is done every 10 years. According to this, the next census was to be held in 2021, but it was postponed due to the Kovid-19 epidemic.
