Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his virtual address in the second edition of InFinity Forum, highlighted India's growth story and emphasized the significant outcomes achieved when policy takes precedence. Speaking on Saturday, he underscored the importance of prioritizing policy, ensuring good governance, and placing the country and its citizens at the core of economic policies.

PM Modi proudly announced that India's economy has exhibited remarkable progress, boasting a growth rate of 7.7% within just six months of the current fiscal year. Acknowledging India's leadership in the Global South, he referred to an earlier statement by the Australian Prime Minister in March, affirming India's strong position in providing leadership to the region.

The Prime Minister also noted the international recognition of India's efforts in reducing red-tapism, as highlighted by the World Economic Forum. This acknowledgment has contributed to creating a favorable investment environment, drawing global attention and expectations towards India.

Reflecting on the transformative reforms implemented over the past decade, PM Modi expressed that the world's heightened expectations of India are a result of its strengthened economy and sustained reform initiatives.

Addressing the global challenge of climate change, PM Modi emphasized India's awareness and commitment, emphasizing that, as one of the largest economies globally, India takes these concerns seriously.

Turning attention to the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gujarat, the Prime Minister lauded it as a hub for 21st-century economic policies, predicting that it would bring pride to the state. He highlighted India's rapid growth in the FinTech market, aligning with GIFT IFSC's vision to emerge as a key FinTech hub.

PM Modi concluded by congratulating Gujarat on UNESCO's recognition of the traditional dance Garba as intangible cultural heritage, emphasizing that the state's success resonates as a success for the entire country.

InFinity Forum, organized by the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), stands as a flagship event focusing on financial technology, policy, business, and technology. The forum aims to explore and advance significant ideas in finance and technology, transforming them into global solutions and opportunities.
