PM Modi government to issue ₹100 coin to mark the inauguration of Seva Tirtha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the new Prime Minister's Office today, Friday (February 13th). He will also release a ₹100 commemorative coin during the inauguration. A notification to this effect was issued by the Finance Ministry on Thursday. This special coin is being issued by the government to commemorate the inauguration of Seva Tirtha Bhawan.

Built at a cost of ₹1,189 crore under the Central Vista project, this complex represents a significant change in India's administrative structure.

According to the notification, the obverse of the coin will feature the Ashoka Pillar lion emblem in the center. Satyamev Jayate will be written below it in Hindi. "Bharat" will be inscribed on the left in Devanagari and "INDIA" in English on the right.

The reverse of the coin will feature an image of the Seva Tirtha Bhavan. The words "Seva Tirtha" will be engraved on the coin in both Hindi and English. A lotus flower motif will also be depicted, and the words "Nagarik Devo Bhava" will be inscribed in Devanagari and English.

Entire government will be in one place

The Seva Tirtha complex is located on Dara Shikoh Road. It covers an area of approximately 2.26 lakh square feet. It was built at a cost of approximately ₹1,189 crore. Seva Tirtha houses the Prime Minister's Office, the National Security Council Secretariat, and the Cabinet Secretariat, which were previously located in different locations. Now, they will all be located in one place.

Last Cabinet Meeting in South Block Today

The Prime Minister's Office is now being shifted to the Seva Tirtha Bhavan. The last Cabinet meeting will be held today, Friday (February 13th). This meeting will be held at 4 pm. This will be the last Cabinet meeting in the British-era Secretariat Building. Seva Tirtha was constructed as part of the Central Vista Redevelopment Project.
