Addressing the gathering, the PM said that Guru Tegh Bahadur also considered truth and justice his religion and sacrificed his life to protect them. When the ninth Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, came here, he left his mark with courage.
The Prime Minister further said that we neither intimidate nor fear anyone. This is the mantra given by our Gurus. We want peace, but we do not compromise on our security. Operation Sindoor is the greatest example of this. The whole world has seen it. New India neither fears nor stops; today India is moving forward with full strength.
Kurukshetra is a major center of Sikh tradition, said PM Modi
Prime Minister Modi said that today is a wonderful confluence of India's heritage. This morning, I was in Ayodhya, the city of Ramayana, and now I am in Kurukshetra, the city of Gita. I pay tribute to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on his 350th martyrdom day. Friends, five to six years ago, another wonderful coincidence occurred when the Supreme Court delivered its verdict on the Ram Temple on November 9, 2019.

Earlier, I used to pray that the construction of the Ram Temple should begin. Everyone's prayers were heard, and the decision was in favor of the Ram Temple that very day. Today, when the flag of Dharma was hoisted in Ayodhya, I received the blessings of the people gathered here.

"Guru Teg Bahadur Ji also considered truth and justice as his religion"
On this very land of Kurukshetra, Lord Krishna said that it is best to sacrifice one's life for one's religion while following the path of truth. Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji also considered truth and justice as his religion and sacrificed his life to protect it. On this historic occasion, the Government of India has issued a postage stamp and a special coin in his honor.
