PM Modi met US Vice President JD Vance, bilateral talks begin, see photos

US Vice President JD Vance met Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his family. Many issues including trade agreement and security will be discussed.

JD Vance Meet PM Modi: US Vice President JD Vance has come to Delhi on his first official visit to India on Monday (21 April 2025). JD Vance's visit to India is considered very important amid the ongoing trade war between the US and China.

JD Vance met PM Modi with family

Many issues including trade agreement and security will be discussed between the two leaders. US Vice President JD Vance has also come to India with his Indian-origin wife Usha Chilukuri and their three children Ivan, Vivek, Mirabel and a delegation of senior US government officials.

JD Vance along with his wife and three children visited the Akshardham temple in Delhi.

JD Vance's children seen in Indian attire

JD Vance stayed with his family at Akshardham temple for about four hours. His three children Ivan, Vivek and Mirabel wore traditional Indian attire. JD Vance's family was gifted a wooden carved elephant, a model of Akshardham temple and children's books. JD Vance, along with his Indian-origin wife Usha Vance and his three children, went to an emporium located at Janpath, where he bought pottery and tea bags and earthenware.

His three children, who came to India with US Vice President JD Vance, were in specially selected traditional Indian attire which won the hearts of the people. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will soon go to Washington for the IMF meeting. It is believed that the Finance Minister will hold a meeting there to finalize the India-US trade agreement.

India will not rush into any agreement

Even though Trump has currently given relief from tariffs to more than 75 countries, his tariff war with China is still going on. However, India has made it clear that it will not rush into any agreement nor can it be forced to enter into any agreement at gunpoint. India has said that an agreement will be reached only if India's concerns are taken into consideration.
