PM Modi paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

PM Modi today paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 148th birth anniversary in Kevadia. He paid homage at the Statue of Unity. Along with this, PM Modi administered the oath to the people on 'National Unity Day' in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat.

Remembering him on social media, the PM wrote that on Sardar Patel's birth anniversary, we remember his indomitable spirit, visionary statesmanship and his extraordinary dedication. Apart from PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to India's first Home Minister and said that he played a big role in uniting the country.

The PM further said that his commitment to national unity will continue to guide us. We will always be indebted to him for his service. Born in Gujarat in 1875, Patel was a lawyer and emerged as a prominent Congress leader and ally of Mahatma Gandhi during the freedom struggle. As the first Home Minister of independent India, he is credited with uniting hundreds of princely states into the Union through his combination of persuasion and persistence.

Let us tell you that today is the second day of PM Modi's Gujarat tour. After the program, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of trauma centre and sub district hospital with solar panels in Kevadia. Apart from this, the PM will address trainee officers of the Common Foundation Course in 98. Along with this, he will also lay the foundation of My Youth India Organization.

Ekta will inaugurate several projects in the city

PM Modi  inaugurated several projects related to development and tourism in Ekta Nagar today. It also includes the inauguration of 30 e-buses, city gas facility and golf carts. Apart from all this, the PM will also inaugurate a visitor centre. PM will also inaugurate Dragon Fruit Nursery Kamalam Park.
