unfortunate for community leaders who had hoped to plan a big event.

of the nearly 4.5 million-strong and widely dispersed Indian Diaspora expect the PM to interact with them in key cities, and he has been communicating with them in various US cities during his visits.
7.”Among the worldwide
Indian Diaspora, Narendra Modi enjoys the greatest level of popularity. Barai,
chairman of the Indian American Community Foundation, declared; “Now he is
the most popular world leader.” The organisation had planned a massive
carnival-style celebration in Chicago to match the reception the prime minister
had in New York City’s Madison Square Garden in 2014 and in Houston, Texas, in
2019.
8. Barai told PTI that
the prime minister “was kind enough to extend his departure from DC by a
couple of hours” so that the Diaspora could hold their meeting.

after Modi conducts a Yoga Day program at the UN headquarters in New York,
