group’s leaders have said that Prime Minister Modi’s trip to the United States
sends a clear message that the India-US relationship is crucial and the most
defining partnership of the 21st century.
Having Prime Minister
Modi visit the United States again is a great pleasure. US-India Strategic
Partnership Forum (USISPF) Chairman John Chambers praised Modi, calling him
“a role model for many of us around the world” for his work on
Digital India and his efforts to spread its benefits to all Indian citizens.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the United States of America (USA) begins on
June 21, CEOs of American companies with Indian ancestry like Wendy’s of the
Pacific’s Joe Johal are looking forward to new opportunities for collaboration.
Calling it a golden
chance to strengthen bilateral ties, Former Hewlett-Packard engineering manager
Joe Johal, who worked there from 1983 to 2003, has this to say about PM Modi’s
work: “The work PM Modi has carried out over the past nine years has
provided us a chance to take our presence to new heights in order to make a big
difference worldwide across various fields.”
In
New York, Modi and Musk discuss India’s investments.
On Wednesday morning in
New York, PM Modi met with Tesla CEO Elon Musk to talk about business
opportunities in India’s growing electric vehicle and commercial space
industries.
Musk confirmed the
conversation and hinted at a possible investment in the near future, but he
stressed the importance of timing.
“The PM invited
Musk to explore opportunities in India for investments in electric mobility and
the rapidly expanding commercial space sector,” the Ministry of External
Affairs said.
In 2017, negotiations
between Tesla, the largest passenger EV manufacturer in the world, and the
Indian government broke down after that country refused to lower import levies
on EVs unless Tesla committed to manufacturing in India.

Dalio of the United States has praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
calling him a “radical reformer” who has the support of the people
and the power to make significant changes in India.
On Tuesday, following the meeting with Prime Minister Modi in New York during his formal State visit to
the United States, Dalio claimed that India is at a “crucial juncture”
with many prospects ahead of it because of Modi’s leadership.
