Pope Francis arrived in the nomadic lands of Mongolia
Pope Francis is on his historic visit to the middle Asian country Mongolia. Pope Francis arrived at Ulaanbaatar‘s international Chinggis Khaan airport at 10 Am local time.
The pope arrived after a long tiring flight of nearly 10 Hours. The pope will take rest for the day, before he meets government officials, attends events of Saturday 2 September.
the Pope was given warm welcome in arriving in Mongolia. In a short welcome ceremony held at the airport, a young Mongolian woman, dressed in traditional attire, presented the Pope with a cup filled with "Aaruul," which is boiled yogurt crafted from the milk of cattle, yaks, and camels. This offering symbolized the nomadic heritage of the Mongolian people and served as one of their most typical provisions for travel.
The Pope accepted the desert and had a bite of the same.

With pride, the Mongolian State Honor Guard stood in formation wearing their distinctive red, blue, and yellow uniforms, complete with iron helmets that harkened back to the legendary Mongolian warriors from ancient times.
Mongolia is a predominantly Mongolic country and Christianity is in minority. The Catholic Church in Mongolia is relatively new and has been growing slowly since its establishment.
The majority of Mongolians practice Tibetan Buddhism, with smaller communities of Muslims, Shamanists, and atheists.
While talking to reporters from Rome, Francis said that Mongolia has small population with great culture. the catholic population of Mongolia is exited by the visit.
The Pope is 86 years old and uses wheel chair for support.
