To commemorate the day of  'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, the Rajasthan government has announced that it will be a dry day. This decision, made by the joint secretary of the finance department (excise) on Sunday, aims to create a respectful atmosphere during the important religious event.

This announcement follows the previous directive from Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar to close all meat shops in the city's heritage area on January 22. Building on this, Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater Mayor Soumya Gurjar later issued similar orders to ensure meat shops remain closed during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, in the tranquil Sattari taluka in north Goa, State Minister and BJP leader Vishwajit Rane shared exciting news. On January 22, households in Sattari will proudly fly flags with 'Jai Shri Ram' to mark the Pran Pratishtha (idol consecration ceremony) of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Rane distributed these flags in his Valpoi Assembly seat, emphasizing the community-wide celebration, saying, "All households in Sattari will host Jai Shri Ram flags on January 22 to mark the inauguration of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Sattari will celebrate Diwali on January 22."

In a gesture of respect for the flags, Rane walked barefoot while distributing them. Notably, Rane's wife, Deviya Rane, serves as the BJP MLA from Poreim, the other Assembly seat in Sattari taluka. Leading up to the January 22 event, the state minister also actively participated in a cleanliness drive, as seen in a video where he was cleaning the floor of a temple in his constituency.
