Prashant Kishor couldn't even become a vote-cutter, will he keep his promise of retirement?
Prashant Kishor: With the results of the Bihar Assembly elections, the hopes of Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraj Party (JSP) have been dashed. According to initial trends, the JSP has not won a single seat, while exit polls had predicted a win of 0-5 seats. Most notably, even Prashant Kishor's strongest candidate doesn't appear to be putting up a fight. Having secured over 10 percent of the vote in the assembly by-elections, there was hope that Prashant Kishor would at least emerge as a vote cutter. But that didn't happen.
But what mistake did this star, a strategist, make in the dark lane of politics that the public rejected him?

Prashant Kishor couldn't even become a vote-cutter
The crowds that flocked to Jansuraj rallies to hear Prashant Kishor confirm that he could harm both the NDA and the Grand Alliance. But judging by the results, it seems Prashant Kishor didn't lay any groundwork and was merely bluffing. The question arises: will he fulfill his campaign promises? Prashant Kishor had promised to retire if the JDU won more than 25 seats.
Prashant Kishor didn't lay any groundwork
During the election campaign, Prashant Kishor claimed to a national TV journalist that the Janata Dal United would not win more than 25 seats in this assembly election. He insisted that if that did not happen, he would retire. When the journalist asked him again, he said, "Keep this recording. Even if my party comes to power, if the JDU wins more than 25 seats, I will retire."

Prashant Kishor said he would not engage in caste politics, but did the exact opposite. He himself selected candidates based on caste and religion in ticket distribution. When launching the JSP in 2022, Kishor claimed that his party would become a symbol of "transparency, development, and casteless politics." This contradiction not only raised questions about Kishore's credibility but also exposed the harsh reality of Bihar politics.

Tangled in his opposition to the liquor ban, Prashant Kishore made enemies of women by opposing the liquor ban. Even the RJD adopted a middle ground on the liquor ban, saying it would review it upon coming to power. However, Kishore openly stated that he would end the ban within the first 24 hours of his term.
Summary
Nitish Kumar's liquor ban policy, implemented since 2016, has become a symbol of women's safety and family happiness. Clearly, Kishore's opposition to it proved to be a politically suicidal move for him. In an attempt to woo young men, he angered 50% of Bihar's female voters.
