Prime Minister launches five new Vande Bharat trains to improve utilities
Prime Minister Narendra
Modi launched five Vande Bharat trains on Tuesday to enhance connectivity in
six major cities across the nation.
The Prime Minister
launched two physically and three virtually five
semi-high-speed trains bound for Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra,
Goa, Bihar, and Jharkhand from the Rani Kamlapati railway station in Bhopal.

Railway minister
Ashwini Vaishnaw, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Governor
Mangubhai Patel, and Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Jyotiraditya
Scindia, among others, were present at the ceremony.
These trains will boost
connectivity in states such as Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa,
Bihar, and Jharkhand.
Tuesday marked the
first time that several Vande Bharat trains were inaugurated in a single day.
The two of them are for Madhya Pradesh, India, where elections for the state
assembly are scheduled for later this year.
Modi addressed
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) employees after the ceremony on Tuesday, saying,
“I had the privilege of inaugurating five Vande Bharat trains that will
connect six Indian states. The citizens of Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Goa,
Bihar, Karnataka, and Maharashtra have my warmest wishes.
He added that until
now, commuters from Bhopal to Delhi have had the opportunity to ride these
trains. From Bhopal to Indore and Bhopal to Jabalpur, travellers can now
experience pace and modernity.”
According to an
official statement, the semi-high-speed trains inaugurated are the
- Rani Kamalapati (Bhopal)-
- Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express,
- Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat
Express, - Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat
Express, - Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express,
and - Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express.
The Rani
Kamlapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will connect the central region of
Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal) to the Mahakaushal region (Jabalpur).
The
Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express will enhance connectivity between
Malwa (Indore) and Bundelkhand (Khajuraho) regions and the central region
(Bhopal), according to the statement.
Goa’s first Vande
Bharat Express is the Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express.It will operate between
the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai and the Madgaon station in
Goa.
The Dharwad-Bengaluru
Vande Bharat Express will connect Dharwad, Hubballi, and Davangere to
Bengaluru, the state capital.
The Vande Bharat
Express Hatia-Patna is the first train for Jharkhand and Bihar. The train,
which will increase connectivity across Patna and Ranchi, will be a benefit for
visitors, students, and businesspeople, according to the statement.
