The focus of today's meeting was on several agreements related to trade, defense, and energy, which were announced by both leaders in a joint press conference. In the evening, at 7 pm, Putin will go to Rashtrapati Bhavan for a meeting with the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. This is Putin's first visit to India since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, have not been invited to the dinner organized in honor of Russian President Putin, while Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has been invited.
