In response to a request from Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, the Indian Railways has assigned three special trains to facilitate pilgrims from Tripura traveling to Ayodhya for prayers at the Ram temple, according to a statement by a BJP Yuva Morcha leader on Saturday.

Special Trains Schedule

The three special trains, organized by the Railways, are scheduled to depart from Tripura to Ayodhya on January 31, February 21, and 27 respectively, announced Rana Ghosh, General Secretary of BJP Tripura Yuva Morcha. Each train is designated to carry 1,640 passengers from the state.

Priority for Party Leaders and Supporters

Rana Ghosh emphasized that priority will be given to party leaders and supporters, ensuring their participation in the significant religious event. He stated, "Apart from party leaders, Ram Bhakts will also get a chance to board the Ayodhya-bound train to offer prayers to Lord Ram. Around 5,000 pilgrims will be able to offer prayers at the Ram temple until February 27."

Leaders' Absence at Consecration Ceremony

Despite the allocation of special trains, key leaders including Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, and other senior officials are unlikely to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.

An official from the Chief Minister's Office confirmed, "The chief minister is not going to Ayodhya to witness the historic consecration ceremony of the Ram temple. He will visit later on." Additionally, BJP media in-charge Sunit Sarkar stated, "No party leader, including the BJP state president, is going to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. We all will witness the program on digital platforms in different locations."

Statewide Holiday Declared

In anticipation of the event, the state has declared a half-holiday in all government offices and educational institutions on January 22 to mark this historic occasion.
