Raipur Road Accident: 9 Women, 4 Children Killed In Trailer-Truck Collision In Chhattisgarh

Raipur Accident:.A horrific road accident took place in Raipur, Chhattisgarh late on Sunday night. 13 people, including nine women and four children, have died in a collision between a truck and a trailer near Saragaon on Raipur-Baloda Bazar road late on Sunday night. At the same time, 11 people were injured who have been sent to the hospital for treatment.

Family was returning from the Chhathi program

According to information received from the police, all these people were residents of Chataud village in Chhattisgarh. They were returning after attending a family Chhathi program in the nearby Bansaria village. Then around 11 pm, their car collided with a high-speed trailer near Saragaon. The collision was so severe that many people died on the spot.

As soon as the information of the accident was received, the Kharora police station and the administration team reached the spot. All the injured were immediately sent to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital in Raipur. Raipur SP Lal Umed Singh said that there were about 25 people in the truck. After the collision of the truck and the trailer, relief and rescue work continued till late night.

Investigation of the incident continues

Raipur Collector Gaurav Singh said that the district administration immediately started the rescue operation and the injured are being provided necessary treatment. The police have registered a case in the matter and the accident is being investigated. In the initial information, it is believed that high speed and negligence may be the reason for this.
