Rajasthan: MoU Signed on Jal Jeevan Mission in the Presence of Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil and CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Following the Union Cabinet's approval of the expanded scope of the Jal Jeevan Mission, concrete steps are now being taken to make the Mission even more effective, accountable, and outcome-oriented.
Under the chairmanship of the Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C.R. Patil, and the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the first MoU in this series regarding the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state was concluded.
This MoU is not merely a document, but a shared commitment between the Centre and the State—one through which efforts will be made to ensure a clean and regular tap water supply for every rural household, strengthen the quality of service delivery, achieve time-bound targets, and further reinforce transparency and accountability.

Under the visionary leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, the goal of "Har Ghar Jal" (Water for Every Household) is making continuous progress toward being established as a robust, sustainable, and reliable service; it is incumbent upon all of us to collectively make every possible effort to achieve this objective.
Present on this occasion were the Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Shri V. Somanna; the State Minister for PHED, Shri Kanhaiya Lal; and other senior officials.
