Scheduled from January 5 to 7, the three-day annual All India Conference of Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police will take place at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur. During this event, Prime Minister Modi is expected to address party workers, leaders, and state unit BJP officials at the BJP office.

The conference will address a spectrum of policing and internal security issues, encompassing topics such as cybercrime, technology in policing, counter-terrorism challenges, left-wing extremism, and prison reforms. The official statement emphasized the consideration of future challenges posed by technologies like AI and Deepfake, and strategies to confront them.

The conference serves as a platform to identify concrete action points and track their progress, with annual presentations made to the Prime Minister. Notably, Prime Minister Modi has actively participated in the DGP conferences since 2014, demonstrating a departure from the symbolic presence of previous leaders. Thematic discussions over meals have been organized, fostering free and informal exchanges of ideas among senior police officials and the Prime Minister.

The tradition of hosting annual DGP conferences across the country, which began in 2014, has continued. Previous conferences have taken place in various locations, and this year's event is set to occur in Jaipur. The conference is expected to draw the participation of prominent figures, including the Union Home Minister, National Security Advisor, MOS for Home Affairs, Cabinet Secretary, senior government officials, DGP of States/UTs, and heads of Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organizations.
