Pramila Tai Medhe passed away

Rashtra Sevika Samiti's chief director Pramila Tai Medhe has passed away. On 31 July, she breathed her last in Nagpur at the age of 96. She was born on 8 June 1929. She joined Rashtriya Sevika Samiti in her youth. Under her leadership, the work of the committee got recognition not only in the country but also abroad. She worked to connect the society with her ideas. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat paid tribute to her.

Mohan Bhagwat paid tribute

RSS wrote on behalf of Mohan Bhagwat on social media platform X, that with the death of Pramila Tai Medhe ji, the chief director of Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, a motherly umbrella has been removed from our head. With her death, her long penance from almost the time of the establishment of the committee till today has been completed.

May we all get the patience to move forward on the path of the goal

It was further written in the same post, she was the embodiment of an impeccable understanding and dedication to the goal, continuous hard work for the growth of work and intimacy in behavior. By offering her life samiddha for Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, she ultimately surrendered her body by pledging to donate her body after death. Due to her penance, her salvation is assured. May we all get the patience to move forward on the path of the goal without her, this is my prayer at the feet of God. Om Shanti.

Our tribute is to keep walking on her ideal path

Rashtra Sevika Samiti has expressed grief over her demise. In a statement issued by the committee's chief director Shantakumari, it is said, 'Respected Pramilatai ji was a multifaceted personality, a sharp thinker, a hardworking worker. Taiji, who lived a disciplined life by being alert in mind and intellect till the last moment, is no longer among us. Our tribute to her is to continue walking on her ideal path.'
