Rekha Gupta will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi
BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, who was present as an observer in this meeting, announced Rekha Gupta's name in front of journalists and said, "Pravesh Verma, Satish Upadhyay and Vijendra Gupta proposed Rekha's name. Nine people approved her name. Now we are all going to the Raj Bhavan."
Rekha Gupta will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Her name was approved after the meeting of the party's legislative party in the BJP's Delhi office.
Rekha Gupta told journalists, "I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President Nadda, Virendra Sachdeva, Ravi Shankar Prasad and all the workers. I thank all my MLAs."

Rekha Gupta will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Before her, Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and Atishi have held this post.
In the recently concluded assembly elections, she defeated Aam Aadmi Party's Bandana Kumari from Shalimar Bagh seat by about 30 thousand votes.
She lost the 2020 elections on this seat by a narrow margin.
Rekha Gupta has also been a councillor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the President of the Delhi University Students Union.
After the victory in the Delhi elections, Rekha Gupta's name was also prominent among the names being discussed for the post of Chief Minister.
According to many analysts, with the announcement of Rekha Gupta, BJP can woo women and the global community.

She started her political career with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in Delhi University.
