On Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi embarked on an extensive European tour, spanning nearly a week, which promises a mix of diplomatic engagements, interactions with students, meetings with legal experts, and outreach to the Indian diaspora. This tour comes just ahead of the eagerly anticipated G20 Leaders Summit, scheduled to be held in Delhi from September 9-10.

During his European sojourn, Rahul Gandhi will engage in a series of meaningful activities. He is set to convene with a group of European Union (EU) lawyers in Brussels on September 7, aiming to foster international legal ties and discussions on pressing global issues. Following this, he will replicate a similar meeting in The Hague, further enhancing the dialogue between India and the EU legal communities.

Adding an educational dimension to his visit, the former Congress president will address students at a university in the vibrant city of Paris on September 8. This interaction will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas with the youth, potentially focusing on issues ranging from global politics to climate change, technology, and youth empowerment.

Highlighting his commitment to workers' rights and labor issues, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to participate in a significant meeting organized by the Labour Union of France in Paris on September 9. This engagement underscores his dedication to championing the interests of laborers and trade unions.

Afterward, he will journey to Norway, where he will engage with the Indian diaspora at a special event in Oslo on September 10. This event will serve as a platform to connect with the Indian community in Norway, address their concerns, and strengthen the bonds between India and its diaspora around the world.

Rahul Gandhi's return to India is anticipated by September 11, just after the conclusion of the G20 summit. India has assumed the role of the G20's current president, and the summit in Delhi is expected to attract more than 30 heads of state, top officials from the European Union and invited guest countries, as well as 14 heads of international organizations.

This European tour reflects a holistic approach by Rahul Gandhi, balancing diplomacy, engagement with diverse audiences, and preparation for the upcoming G20 Summit, where critical global issues will take center stage. It underscores his commitment to fostering international relations and representing India on the global stage.
