Russian drone strikes on Ternopil, Ukraine, kill 25, including 6 children
Russia launched missile and drone strikes in Ternopil, Ukraine. So far, 25 people, including 3 children, have been killed in the attack. The Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported that 73 people, including 15 children, were injured in the attack. This is considered one of the deadliest attacks in western Ukraine since the Russia-Ukraine war began in February 2022.
Attacks also occurred in western Ukraine and Kharkiv. Ukraine also fired ATACMS missiles at Russia.

The attack occurred at night, targeting two nine-story apartment buildings in Ternopil. Interior Minister Igor Klimenko said emergency teams were working to rescue people trapped in the rubble. Initial reports indicated at least 37 people were injured, including 12 children.
Russia Fires 476 Drones and 48 Missiles
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia fired 476 strike and decoy drones and 48 missiles of various types at Ukrainian targets. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that every attack on civilians demonstrates that pressure on Russia to stop the war is not working.
Diplomatic Efforts and Negotiations
Zelenskyy said he would meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. His aim is to increase international pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and establish peace. They will discuss ways to ensure peace in Turkey.
Attacks in Other Areas Also
Around 50 people were injured in Russian attacks in other regions of Ukraine. Romania and Poland have deployed fighter jets to protect their airspace. Two Eurofighter Typhoons and two F-16s flew sorties in Romania. Airports in Poland were closed overnight.

A Russian drone strike in Kharkiv injured 46 people, including two girls. The drone damaged several residential buildings, an ambulance station, a school, and other civilian infrastructure.
Ukraine fired ATACMS missiles at Russia
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukraine fired four US ATACMS missiles at the city of Voronezh. All missiles were intercepted, but debris fell on an orphanage and a gerontology center. No Russian civilians were injured in the attack.
