In a historic day in India, parliamentarians entered the new parliament, which will be called "Samvidhan Sabha" from now onwards. The name was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As the parliamentarians entered the new parliament today, they started the proceedings of the parliament with the national anthem "Jan Gana Mann." Speaker of Lok Sabha, Om Birla, congratulated the members of parliament for the new parliamentary building and credited all those who gave their efforts to building the new parliamentary building. The speaker then invited Prime Minister Modi to deliver his address.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed all the parliamentarians to the new building, saying that this is a historic day for India. He mentioned that it is an auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi and a time when India has achieved several accomplishments, such as the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 and the successful organization of the G20 summit. He added that we still have a lot of time before elections, and the results of those elections will be determined based on how every Member of Parliament behaves during this time.

Union Minister of Law Arjun Ram Meghwal introduced the Women Reservation Bill in the Parliament and also dismissed the claims of Congress Member of Parliament Adhir Ranjan Chaudhari, who said that the bill was first introduced by Rajiv Gandhi's government, then during the Narasimha Rao and Dr. Manmohan Singh governments, and that it was passed by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha at different times but could not be passed in both houses. he also added that The bill that was introduced during the government of Dr. Manmohan Singh is still alive. The Union Minister of Law dismissed those claims by saying that the credit for the introduced bills does not go to Rajiv Gandhi's government but that it was first introduced in HD Deve Gowda's government in September 1996, then during the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1998 and 1999, and finally, the bill was introduced in Rajya Sabha in May 2008 during PM Manmohan Singh's tenure. This bill, if passed, will provide 33% reservation to women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies.
