Ruckus in Tamil Nadu over the proposal of three languages
Let us tell you that the symbol of ₹ is the official symbol of the budget across the country. But the Tamil Nadu government has replaced it. The ரூ symbol with which the symbol of ₹ has been replaced is the letter 'R' of the Tamil script. The special thing here is that for the first time a state has changed the symbol of ₹.
The ₹ symbol is based on the tricolor
Let us tell you that the symbol of Rupee (₹) in the country was designed by Uday Kumar Dharmalingam, who is an educationist and designer by profession. His design was selected from five shortlisted symbols. According to Dharmalingam, his design is based on the Indian tricolor
Uday is a resident of Tamil Nadu
The surprising thing here is that Uday Kumar Dharmalingam is the son of N. Dharmalingam, who was an MLA from DMK i.e. MK Stalin's party in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. He made this design in 2010, which was officially adopted by the Government of India. Uday Kumar Dharmalingam is a resident of Kallakurichi in Tamil Nadu.
War has started over the opposition to Hindi!
This decision of the Tamil Nadu government has come at a time when a political war has already started in Tamil Nadu over the opposition to Hindi. In fact, recently Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin had accused of forcibly imposing Hindi.
Ancient languages are getting extinct'
MK Stalin had posted on the social media platform X and said, 'Ancient languages are getting extinct due to the attempt to establish a unified Hindi identity. Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have never been Hindi regions. But now their original language has become a symbol of the past.'
Accusation of destroying these languages
Stalin had appealed to the people of other states and said, 'My brothers and sisters living in other states, have you ever thought about how many other languages have been swallowed by the Hindi language. Mundari, Marwari, Kurukh, Malvi, Chhattisgarhi, Santhali, Kurmali, Khortha, Maithili, Awadhi, Bhojpuri, Braj, Kumaoni, Garhwali, Bundeli and many other languages are now struggling for their existence.
