Stampede at Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh:  Following actor Vijay's rally in Telangana, a major stampede occurred in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. A stampede broke out at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Kashibugga, Srikakulam district. Nine devotees have died in the incident, while several others are reported injured. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the accident.

He said that the loss of life to devotees in this tragic incident is extremely heartbreaking. He has instructed officials to provide prompt and appropriate treatment to the injured.

9 devotees killed, many injured

The Venkateswara Swamy Temple was crowded with devotees. People were climbing the stairs to the top when panic began and a stampede broke out. As a result, people fell on top of each other, crushing several people to death. Relatives of those injured in the accident tried to lift them and even pressed their chests, but were unsuccessful.
