Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Review: There was a time when Varun Dhawan and the director together gave us films like "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" and "Badrinath Ki Dulhania." While neither were perfect, they were certainly entertaining. Alia Bhatt's romance with Varun, their emotional connection, and comedy have won the hearts of audiences.

When the film "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari" was awaited, these same qualities were expected from it. However, this film turned out to be something else.

What is the story of the film?

The film begins with Sunny Sanskari (Varun Dhawan), a Baahubali who, besides being a cultured person, is also a "Shayari King." Sunny falls in love with Ananya (Sanya Malhotra). The two dated for two years, but Ananya, calling their relationship a situational affair, leaves and, under family pressure, agrees to marry the wealthy Vikram Singh (Rohit Saraf). Sunny's dream of marrying Ananya remains unfulfilled, but then he learns about Tulsi.

Varun-Jhanvi's film is clichéd and full of overacting.

Tulsi Kumari (Janhvi Kapoor) was Vikram's girlfriend, whom he left to marry Ananya, a girl of his mother's choice. Tulsi is shedding tears over Vikram and trying hard to move on. But nothing is happening. Sunny and Tulsi meet, and together they hatch a plan to break up their exes' marriages and win back their love. Now the question is whether they will succeed.

Film lacks any special power.

The film starts off quite slow. You try to connect, but all you get is Sunny's tired poetry. There's no special moment that you enjoy. Gradually, the film reaches a point where Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's characters face their exes, and you see their overacting. Someone told me they've been acting the same way for years, and after watching "Sunny Sanskari's Tulsi Kumari," this statement seems true.

Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf have the same thing happen to actors when they play second leads opposite two famous stars. His work didn't receive enough screen time to be appreciated. But whatever time he was on screen was good. By the film's climax, you'll no longer care who's dating whom or who's in love. This is because you already understand what's going to happen in the first half. In fact, you already knew what was going to happen from the trailer. This story is an old one in Bollywood.

Summary

The film's story deals with parental pressure, crumbling relationships, and women's independence, but it's not portrayed on screen. The play itself isn't well-crafted. The parents' screen time is so limited that nothing truly touches your heart. You're just watching a movie. The characters are well-dressed, there are lavish sets, and there are catchy songs. The songs "Panwadi" and "Bijuria" are already well-received. Beyond that, there's nothing special in the film that would make you want to sit back and enjoy it.
