Sushila Karki became the first woman PM of Nepal: Currently there is no minister in her cabinet
Sushila Karki has become the first woman interim PM of Nepal. She was sworn in by President Ramchandra Poudel at Rashtrapati Bhavan Sheetal Niwas on Friday night. At present, no one else has been made a minister.
President announces - elections will be held in 6 months
The President has announced that a new election of Parliament will be held within the next six months. At the same time, Gen-Z leaders refused to join this government. They say that they will not join the government, but will monitor the functioning of the government.
Sushila Karki has also been the first woman Chief Justice of Nepal. She has done post graduation in Political Science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
First woman PM of Nepal
After the implementation of the new constitution, all governments were formed under Article 76.
But Sushila Karki was appointed Prime Minister as per Article 61.
There is no direct mention of the post or powers of the Prime Minister in Article 61.
It mainly describes the work and responsibilities of the President.
According to Article 61, the President works to protect the Constitution.
Therefore, the President has appointed the PM according to the same article.

A judge became PM for the second time in Nepal
Sushila Karki is not the first person who has become an interim PM after becoming a judge. The first time this happened was in 2013, when an electoral government was formed under the leadership of Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi.
