Syrian Kurdish forces imposed curfew in eastern Dier Ezzor
Clashes broke out on Monday in the eastern region in Syria which is close to the border of Iraq.
The clashes broke out between the USA backed Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Deir Ezzor Military Council when SDF detained the commander of Deir Ezzor Military Council. These clashes between the 2 groups are amongst the worst in recent years.
Both the forces previously worked as allies to fight against the terrorist organization ISIS.
Dozens have dies in the clashes.
the reason of arrest of the Deir Ezzor Military council Ahmad- al-Khabil also known as Abu Khwala has not been confirmed.
According to reports, more than 50 people have lost their lives in the clashes with 6 being civilians.
According to joint statement release by SDF and Military Council on Wednesday, the leader was engaged in multiple crimes and violation such as drugs smuggling.
These clashes between the Kurdish and Arab groups have raised concerns about also the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ISIL to increase influence and presence in the area again.
USA has called all parties to stop violence an adopt peace.
Arab people in the region also fear the rising influence of Kurdish forces. They fear that their Arab identity is under threat in the region. They also blame the Kurdish led forces invading and encroaching their lands.
Violence in the region is persisting for more than a decade now. The world has almost gown numb to the situation in the region and has accepted the fate of the region.
