A boy on Monday in Ghaziabad died  by being infected by Rabies . The teenager boy Sabez was 14years old. He was bitten by a dog about 2 month ago by a dog living in his neighborhood. The boy did not tell about the dog bite to his parents and other family members.

According to reports, a woman residing in the same locality of Charan Singh Colony in Ghaziabad, had 5-6 dogs and even used to feed street dogs. One of these dogs had bit Sabez, but he was not the first one attacked by tha dog.

Sabez was feared to tell his family about the dog bite, therefore he kept hiding it.

After getting infected by Rabies, he started feeling symptoms of Rabies. These symptoms including fear of wind and water. He also started living in Dark. He used to be scared and also started making loud noises.

Nimish Patil, Assistance Commissioner of Police said that the Child hid it from this family and since no one knew, proper treatment could not e provided to him.  “Today, information was received at Vijayanagar police station that a 14-year-old child died due to a dog bite. Taking cognizance of the incident, we investigated the matter. It came to light that the child was bitten by a dog about two months ago and he hid it from his family members,” said(ACP), Kotwali Nagar. “As no one knew, the boy could not be treated and the infection spread… symptoms of rabies began appearing. Later, (when his family found out), the child was taken to a hospital where he died during treatment. A case has been registered on the basis of a complaint by the family members. Action will be taken on the basis of facts,” he added.

The Boy was taken to hospitals in Meerut, Ghaziabad and Delhi AIIMS after family noticed symptoms.

The family has sought appropriate actions form the authorties.

The authorities has sought the details of registration and vaccinations of the dogs from the woman. Failing to answer, the woman will be charged with Fine of Rs 5000.
