Telangana Assembly Election 2023 Result: Azharuddin and Vishnuvardhan Reddy's rivalry in Congress is becoming more intense

The Hyderabad district includes the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency, which is one of the 119 Telangana Assembly seats that are up for election on November 30.

On December 3, 2023, the Telangana Assembly Election 2023 will be declared. Up until 5 p.m. on Thursday, the southern state recorded a 64.35% voter turnout, according to a report by The Hindu Business Line.

The percentage of Telangana voters who cast ballots was 64.35%, which was considerably less than the 73.74% recorded in 2018. By 5 p.m., 82.05% of voters had cast ballots in Medak, 80.23% in Jangaon, and 40.88% in Hyderabad, according to the report.

The Hindustan Times reported that the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency had a 46.70% voter turnout in the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections.

According to the report, candidates from Scheduled Caste are permitted to run in 18 Telangana constituencies, while candidates from Scheduled Tribes are permitted to run in 9 constituencies.

Jubilee Hills, located in the heart of Telangana's capital, is a district that is home to some of Hyderabad's most affluent neighborhoods and expensive real estate, as well as some of the city's poorest slums. As such, it will be closely monitored in the upcoming elections.

The BJP's nominee is Lankala Deepak Kumar, the Congress's Mohammed Azharuddin heads the campaign, and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has renominated Maganti Gopinath. Mohammed Rashed Farazuddin is a prominent member of the Shaikpet Municipal Corporation and a candidate put forth by AIMIM, an ally of the BRS.

The BJP is fielding three female candidates, including actress Jeevitha, while former Congress representatives Mohammad Azharuddin and P Vishnuvardhan Reddy are competing for seats.

The rivalry in Congress between Azharuddin and Vishnuvardhan Reddy, the late P Janardhan Reddy's son and four-time MLA, is becoming more intense.
