Terrorist attack in Pahalgam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not attend the official dinner hosted by Saudi Arabia in view of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday afternoon at around 3 pm. He cut short his Saudi tour. He has left for India. He will reach Delhi on Wednesday morning. The Prime Minister went to Saudi for a two-day tour. Pahalgam attack: Suspicious bike found at the spot

A motorcycle without a number plate has been found at the site of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which is suspected to have been used by terrorists. According to information received by Aaj Tak from intelligence agencies, foreign terrorists from Pakistan may also be involved in this attack.

How did the terrorists attack?

Around 2.30 pm, 2-3 gun-wielding terrorists, wearing army uniforms, entered the Baisaran valley and started firing at the tourists riding horses. The attack happened suddenly and no one understood.

Many were injured, while many horses were also injured in the attack. Some of the terrorists who targeted the tourists were in army uniform. Due to this, the tourists along with the local people could not guess that they were terrorists.

Demand for retaliatory action like Balakot-Uri

The terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam has shaken the whole country. People are angry. They are demanding a Balakot-Uri type of retaliation. People are taking out candle marches to protest against this incident, raising slogans like 'Stop Hindu Genocide' and demanding revenge from the terrorists.

It is being compared to the Pulwama attack of 14 February 2019 and the Uri attack of 18 September 2016, after which India responded by carrying out the Balakot air strike (12 days later) and the surgical strike across the LoC (10 days later) respectively.
