Here you take a look at five such players…

Rishabh Pant (27 crores): In IPL 2025, all eyes were on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant, but his batting disappointed the fans. Rishabh has scored just 151 runs in 13 matches at an average of 13.72. During this, his strike rate has been 107.09, which is quite surprising. Rishabh's captaincy also remained lackluster and his team could not make it to the playoffs despite getting off to a good start. Rishabh was added to his team by Lucknow Super Giants for a hefty sum of Rs 27 crore.

Venkatesh Iyer (23.75 crores): Middle order batsman Venkatesh Iyer was re-inducted by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in his team for a hefty price of Rs 23.75 crore. But this season Venkatesh Iyer's bat remained completely silent. Venkatesh scored 142 runs in 7 innings at an average of 20.28 and a strike-rate of 139.21. His scores were 6, 3, 60, 45, 7, 14, and 7.

Ishan Kishan (11.25 crores): Wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan played an unbeaten innings of 106 runs in his debut match for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Then it seemed that this season was going to be in the name of Ishan Kishan, but after that century innings his form went out of track. Ishan has been able to score only 231 runs in 12 matches in the current season.

During this, his average has been 25.66 and strike rate 140.85. Ishan joined Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 11.25 crore, but he did not live up to the team's expectations.

Mohammed Shami (10 crores): Sunrisers Hyderabad fast bowler Mohammed Shami's performance has not been good in IPL 2025. This is also a matter of concern for the Indian team in view of the upcoming England tour. Shami has taken only 6 wickets in 9 matches so far in the current IPL season at an average of 56.16 and a poor economy rate of 11.23.

Due to poor performance, Shami has also had to sit out of the playing-11 in the last few matches. In the mega auction of IPL 2025, Shami was bought by the Hyderabad team for Rs 10 crore.
