This man earned 30 crores in 45 days– now Pintu Mahra will pay the tax

Pintu Mahara Prayagraj: After the conclusion of Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, a sailor is making the most headlines. Because this sailor has earned 30 crores in 45 days. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself told that this sailor had 130 boats, and he earned an average of 23 lakh rupees daily.

Now the question is how much tax this sailor will have to pay on this huge earning. This income of the sailor is many times more than the annual salary of the CEO of a big company.

Earned 30 crores by running a boat

The sailor who earned 30 crores by running a boat in Maha Kumbh is Pintu Mahara. After the bumper earnings, now he has income tax liability. However, taxable income is calculated by adjusting income and expenses.

But here we are telling about the income tax on the total income.

Since, income above 15 lakhs comes in the 30 percent tax slab. According to the income tax calculator available on the Income Tax Department website, the tax liability of sailor Pintu Mahara on his income of 30 crores is around Rs 12,79,64,850 i.e. Rs 12 crore 80 lakhs.

How much tax will have to be paid after deducting expenses

In this, the total amount of income tax is Rs 8,98,12,500, surcharge Rs 3,32,30,625 and health and education cess Rs 49,21,725. After adding these amounts, the total tax liability comes to around Rs 12 crore 80 lakhs.

Since, the calculation of taxable income is done by deducting expenses from the income. In this context, if boatman Pintu Mahara claims his income to be 20 crores after deducting expenses, then his tax liability is 8.5 crores (8,52,20,850).

How Pintu Mahara earned 30 crores

Prayagraj boatman Pintu Mahara built 70 boats for the Maha Kumbh. For this, Pintu took a loan from the bank and even mortgaged his jewellery. The UP CM said that the boatman had 130 boats, and he earned an average profit of 23 lakh rupees during this big event.

Pintu had a total of 130 boats for this special religious event. According to the calculation, each boat earned 23 lakh rupees in 45 days, which is about 50,000-52,000 rupees per day. More than 300 people worked with Pintu.

In the Kumbh Melas held at places like Haridwar, Prayagraj, lakhs of people depend on food shops. During this time, temporary dhabas, tea stalls and snacks vendors can earn good money. Dhaba owner – ₹10,000-₹50,000 per day (depending on location and crowd)

Tea and pakora seller – ₹3,000-₹7,000 per day

Sweets and thandai seller – ₹5,000-₹15,000 per day

3.Temporary accommodation and dharamshalas

Devotees stay in hotels, dharamshalas and tent cities, due to which the business of temporary accommodation flourishes.

Tent Rent (Ordinary) – ₹500-₹2,000 per night

Hotels and Dharamshalas – ₹2,000-₹10,000 per night

Temporary Lodge Owners – ₹50,000-₹5 lakh per month

4.Religious Clothing and Puja Material Sellers

Sales of religious clothing, puja materials, Rudraksha, Gangajal and idols are very high in Maha Kumbh.

Worship Material Sellers – ₹3,000-₹10,000 per day

Rudraksha and Religious Clothing Sellers – ₹5,000-₹15,000 per day

5.Bathing and Ghat Services

Special services are also available for bathing in Maha Kumbh, through which local people can earn good money. Masseurs – ₹500 per customer

Photographers – ₹2,000-₹7,000 per day

6.Online and digital services

People vlogging on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram can also earn well by covering Maha Kumbh.

YouTube Vloggers – ₹10,000-₹1 lakh per video (depends on views and sponsorships)

Online Hotel Booking and Travel Agency – ₹50,000-₹5 lakh per month
