Tragic accident in Gonda, UP, car full of devotees fell into the canal, 11 people died
Uttar Pradesh News: Eleven people died in a tragic road accident in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. This accident happened in Itiyathok police station when the car caring devotees going for darshan went out of control and overturned in the canal. There were a total of 15 people in the Bolero, out of which 11 died on the spot, while others were seriously injured. All the people had left for darshan, when this incident happened.
Eleven dead, four seriously injured
According to the information, the incident took place in Rahra village of Itiyathok police station area of Gonda district. All the people in the Bolero were going for darshan. Due to heavy rain, the vehicle went out of control and fell into the canal. There is unconfirmed information of 11 people dying in the accident, while four are seriously injured.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep condolences over the accident and has directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased. Administrative teams are engaged in relief and rescue work.

Meanwhile the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath wrote in a post shared on Instagram, he wrote, 'The loss of life in the unfortunate accident in Gonda district is extremely sad and heart-wrenching. My condolences are with the bereaved families. Instructions have been given to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased in this accident and to the district administration officials taken the injured people to the nearby hospital and provide them proper treatment. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant salvation to the departed souls, strength to the bereaved families to bear this immense loss and speedy recovery to the injured.
