In a shocking and tragic incident, an 18-year-old woman has been arrested for the gruesome murder of her two young sisters, aged six and four, in a village located in the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh.

Barbaric Discovery in Bahadurpur Village

The brutal incident unfolded around 8 p.m. on a fateful Sunday evening in Bahadurpur village, situated under the jurisdiction of the Balrai police station. The victims have been identified as six-year-old Surbhi and four-year-old Roshni. Their lifeless, mutilated bodies were discovered in separate rooms within their home, sending shockwaves through the community.

Confession by Elder Sister

Kanpur range Inspector General of Police (IG) Prashant Kumar revealed that the minors, who were the daughters of a man named Jaiveer Singh, had tragically met their end at the hands of their own elder sister, Anjali Pal. The 18-year-old confessed to the heinous crime, adding a layer of chilling horror to the already gruesome incident.

Motive Under Investigation

Authorities are now diligently working to unravel the motive behind this heart-wrenching tragedy. IG Prashant Kumar, leading the investigation, expressed the need to understand the underlying reasons for this shocking act.

Additional Suspects Questioned

The police have widened their inquiry by questioning three men in connection with the case, alongside the accused woman. The case has been registered under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (concealing evidence or giving false information) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Murder Weapon Recovered

Crucially, the murder weapon—a spade—was found at the crime scene, along with the clothing worn by the accused on the day of the incident. Investigators revealed that the forensic team detected blood stains on both the spade and the garments, indicating an attempt to wash away evidence.

Family Unaware of Tragedy

During the time of the brutal murders, Jaiveer, his wife Sushila, and their sons Nand Kishore (12) and Kanhaiya (8) were not present at home, further deepening the mystery surrounding the events that transpired.

Contradictory Statements by Accused

Initially, Anjali provided conflicting accounts of her activities during the day when questioned by the police. These inconsistencies raised suspicions, ultimately leading to her arrest for further investigation.

The horrifying events in Bahadurpur village have left the community in shock and mourning, as authorities continue to probe the motives and circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
