UGC is going to raise the amount of these fellowships: Check out the whole information.

University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to increase the amount of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), Senior Research Fellowships (SRF), and Post Doctoral Fellowships available.

The updated rates were examined and agreed during the 572nd meeting on September 20 and will be effective on January 1, 2023, according to the UGC.

SRF in Science, Humanities, and Social Sciences

Previous amount (monthly): Rs.35,000 .For the remainder of the period, the new sum (per month) is Rs. 42,000.

Junior Research Fellow in Science, Humanities, and Social Sciences

Previous amount (monthly): Rs. 31,000 for two years. New monthly payment of Rs. 37,000 for two years.

Dr DS Kothari Post Doctoral Fellowship

Fellowship for advanced postdoctoral studies.

Previously, the monthly payment was Rs. 54,000 for the duration of the contract. New monthly payment: Rs. 67,000 for the duration of the contract.

Fellowship for postdoctoral studies

Previously, the monthly payment was Rs. 47,000 for the first year, Rs.49,000 for the second year, and Rs.54,000 for the third year.

New monthly amount: Rs.58,000 for the first year, Rs. 61,000 for the second year, and Rs.67,000 for the third year.

Women's Postdoctoral Fellowship, SC/ST Postdoctoral Fellowship, Dr. S Radhakrishnan Postdoctoral Fellowship

Previous amounts (per month): Rs.47,000 for the first year, Rs.49,000 for the second year, and Rs.54,000 for the third year and beyond.

New amount (per month): Rs.58,000 for the first year, Rs. 61,000 for the second year, and Rs.67,000 for the third year and beyond.

Savitribai Jyotirao Phule Fellowship for Single Girl Child

Previous amount (per month): Rs.31,000 for 2 years . New monthly payment: Rs. 37,000 monthly for two years.
