Under the supervision of Police Commissioner of GBN Laxmi Singh, special mental health awareness program organized
Under the guidance and supervision of Police Commissioner Gautam Budh Nagar, Smt. Laxmi Singh, a special mental health awareness and motivational program was organized for recruit constables of the Uttar Pradesh Police undergoing training at the Reserve Police Lines, Surajpur, under the Police Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar, to promote their mental health and overall well-being.
The program provided detailed information from experts on topics such as mental health, workplace stress management, and maintaining life balance.
During the program, Fortis Hospital Director Dr. Siddharth Nigam and Senior Psychiatrist Dr. Manu Tiwari addressed the trainees, explaining how mental balance, positive thinking, and self-control are essential in a challenging service like the police. They discussed in detail the simple routine, practical measures, and stress management techniques to be adopted for work-life balance, and also conducted a practical exercise session with the trainees.
In the second phase of the session, a workshop on Sahaja Yoga and meditation was organized by the trainers and teachers of the Sahaja Yoga Center. In this session, trainees were introduced to the methods of Sahaja Yoga, the importance of meditation, and ways to achieve mental stability. The trainers explained that regular meditation develops peace, concentration, and self-confidence, essential qualities for a successful police officer.
Additional Commissioner of Police Headquarters, Mr. Ajay Kumar, DCP Lines, Mr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, ACP Lines, Mr. Hemant Upadhyay, RI, Mr. Suresh Rai, RTC in-charge, and other officers and staff from the Police Lines were present on this occasion. A large number of recruit constables enthusiastically participated in the program.

The objective of such programs is to promote mental health, self-control, and a positive attitude among police personnel, enabling them to serve society with greater efficiency and sensitivity.
