Under the direction of the Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddh Nagar, Laxmi Singh, the Cyber Crime Police is continuously undertaking effective measures as part of an intensive campaign aimed at preventing cybercrimes and taking action against cybercriminals.

In this context, between January 1, 2023, and March 27, 2026, the Cyber Crime Police successfully solved cases related to "Digital Arrests," online investment fraud, KYC updates, fake customer care services, fraudulent loan apps, and various other forms of cyber fraud, leading to the arrest of a total of 1,692 accused individuals. These arrests were carried out across various states of the country—including West Bengal, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, and Gujarat—as well as from various districts within the state.

Furthermore, through swift action, the Cyber Crime Police has successfully frozen funds totaling ₹139,541,170. Additionally, an amount of ₹683,748,484 has been recovered and returned to the victimized complainants, marking a significant achievement in the realm of cybercrime control.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate ensures continuous monitoring, analysis, and prompt action to prevent cybercrimes by making extensive use of technical resources. Simultaneously, messages are being continuously disseminated through various channels—such as public awareness campaigns, social media, workshops, and cybersecurity programs—to raise awareness among the general public.

With the objective of safeguarding the public from cybercrimes, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate regularly organizes cyber awareness programs.

Through these initiatives, citizens are sensitized to various modus operandi employed in cybercrimes—such as calls from unknown numbers, fraudulent links, fake KYC update requests, online investment scams, and "Digital Arrest" schemes. During these programs, people are also advised against sharing their personal or banking details in response to any suspicious calls, messages, or links, and are urged to utilize only authorized and secure digital platforms.



Furthermore, in the event of any form of cyber fraud, citizens are urged to immediately register a complaint via the national helpline number 1930 or at www.cybercrime.gov.in, so that necessary action can be ensured in a timely manner.
