Police should not check people's IDs, roads should not be closed, voters' IDs should not be confiscated, real IDs should not be declared fake, and people should not be threatened with imprisonment, voting speed should not be reduced.

Time should not be wasted, voting time should be increased if needed, administration should not become a representative of the government, all video recordings of election irregularities should be taken cognizance of in real time and dishonest officers should be removed immediately.

Strict instructions to the UP-Election Commission

In the meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar gave strict instructions to the UP-Election Commission and all District Election Officers, Returning Officers. The Commission said that ensure fair and smooth voting process. Take immediate action by taking cognizance of all complaints immediately and inform the complainant by tagging him through social media.

Any kind of biased attitude will not be tolerated and if anyone is found guilty on receiving a complaint, strict action will be taken. Police and general observers posted in all 9 districts have also been strictly instructed to keep a close watch and ensure that the voting takes place in a peaceful and fair manner.

Akhilesh Yadav's appeal to voters

Even though SP chief Akhilesh Yadav appealed to the voters and said that the voters who have been stopped from casting their vote by the police-administration should go and cast their vote once again.
