UP CM Yogi’s Chief Advisor Awanish Awasthi's term extended until February 2027
Former IAS officer Awanish Awasthi, considered one of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's closest and most trusted officials, will now serve as an advisor until February 2027.
The tenure of Awanish Awasthi, Chief Advisor to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh, has been extended for another year. With this decision, his tenure will continue until February 28, 2027, and he will continue to serve as the Chief Minister's advisor. This is the fourth time Awanish Awasthi's tenure has been extended.

Former IAS officer Awanish Awasthi is considered one of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's closest and most trusted officials. He accompanied him on his four-day foreign tour to Singapore and Japan. After returning from his foreign tour, the decision to extend his service has been finalized. Governor Anandiben Patel has approved the decision, following which an official order has been issued.
Awanish Awasthi Service Extension
This is the fourth extension in the tenure of IAS Awanish Awasthi. He also served as Additional Chief Secretary in the Yogi government. Since his retirement, he has been serving as the Chief Minister's Administrative Advisor.
Who is Awanish Awasthi?
Awanish Kumar Awasthi is a retired 1987 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He retired on August 31, 2022, after which CM Yogi Adityanath appointed him as Administrative Advisor. CM Yogi has great confidence in him. It is believed that the Chief Minister appreciates his advice.

Awanish Awasthi has extensive experience in administrative work. As such, he advises the Chief Minister on various issues ranging from political matters to bureaucratic matters. Awanish Awasthi was originally appointed until February 2023. After which his tenure was extended to February 2024, for the second time this tenure was extended till 2025, then till February 2026 and now for the fourth time it has been extended till February 2027.
